Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Kinderton Chapel - AdvanceJacqueline Louise Winters, 89, a lifelong resident of Davie County, went to her heavenly home on March 10, 2026. She was born on April 18, 1936. A member of Cornatzer Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, taught Bible School, Prayer Warrior, sang in the choir and cooked homemade meals for those in need.
In her early years, she worked at Hanes, B&F manufacturing and Davie County Schools. Her greatest joy was taking care of her home and family. She was a member of the Cornatzer Extension Homemakers Club where she held various offices.
Her favorite things were marveling at God’s beautiful creation. She was especially fond of sunsets and bird watching. She had a great talent for cooking and created many meals for her family and friends. Her family and friends especially enjoyed her homemade yeast rolls.
She was known for her kind and compassionate heart and her love for God. She shared her faith in Jesus and read her Bible daily. Throughout her life the love of her Savior Jesus Christ shined everywhere she went and was evident to everyone she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-eight years Bobby G. Winters and her son Danny Winters. Her Mother and Stepfather, Mabel Lanier and Robert Lanier. Brother Robert Lanier. Biological Father James Wagner.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Marilynn Kistler (Richard) and son Brent Winters (Melissa). Nine grandsons, Eric Kistler (Tracy), Nick Kistler (Laura), Justin Winters (Candace), Kyle Winters (Natalie), Shane Winters, Joshua Winters (Elizabeth), Joel Winters (Sarah), Josiah Winters, Jacob Winters. Twelve great grandchildren Noah Kistler, Bryce Kistler, Kirby Kistler, Maisie Kistler, Nils Kistler, Logan Winters, Eden Winters, Arden Winters, Christian Cooper, Joey Winters, Danny Leigh Winters and Callum Winters. Her sister, Kay Burton (Bill). Her brother Dale Lanier (Donna), her sister-in-law Barbara Lanier, her sister-in-law Betty Potts (Gray). Also, many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Cornatzer Baptist Church with Reverend Ottis Hurst and Tim Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends after the service. Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel is assisting the family.
