Nancy Nelleke Wynands

Nancy Nelleke "Oma" Wynands, 86, of Ojai, California, passed away on September 18, 2024.
Nancy was born in Rotterdam, Holland to James and Jacqueline Van der Wel on November 26, 1937.
Nancy and her husband Hendrik "Hank" Wynands married in 1956 and moved from Holland to the United States 66 years ago. Nancy and Hank had two sons; Michael and Danny. The family traveled the world as Hank worked as a construction coordinator in the motion picture and television industry. They have resided in various communities in the State of California including Carmel by the Sea where she flourished at her Art form and exposed her talents to many Carmel Art Galleries. Nancy was a self-taught "Folk Art" Painter. For the last 26 years Nancy and her husband Hank have resided in the beautiful community of Ojai, California.
Her paintings are in many Private and Corporate collections both in the United States and abroad. One of her paintings can be found in the collection of Her Majesty Princess Beatrice of the Netherlands.
Nancy was very creative and made beautiful Jewelry and crochet items which you could enjoy seeing at many local Ojai stores.
Nancy is survived by her husband Hank, her son Dan and his wife Wendy, her Grandson Harry and his wife Laura, and Grandson Jack. She is also survived by her brother Jim and his wife Joannie and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Michael and her brother William Van der Wel.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all that knew her. She was a very special person and gave her love to many and leaving a smile on the faces of the people she met.
