Nanette Long Obituary
Mrs. Nanette R. "Nan" Long, 71, a long-time resident of South Williamsport, died at her residence Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
Nanette was born on January 17, 1952, in Denver, Colorado. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Eleanor Wellendorf Earl.
Nanette graduated from Salida High School in Colorado; she worked as an Aid in the Health Care field. She lived in various States around the US.
Nanette enjoyed being outside, reading, animals, and crocheting; she loved flowers, drawing, photography, and puzzles. She was family-oriented; she loved her family and her sweets; her favorite was Keylime pie and anything with meringue; Nanette also loved art and bingo.
Nan is survived by her daughter Courtney Long of South Williamsport; her son Aaron Dennison of Nevada; her daughter Amanda Long of Nashville; and her grandchildren Raina, Corey, and Klover.
In addition to her late parents, Nan is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Long, of Indiana.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Flowers will be provided.

I first met Nan when I was hired at a small car dealership in Indiana. We worked together for several months, and she became a very dear friend. I can remember we had a supervisor who was very persnickety, and she did not like it if you left the dealership to go on break. Well, there was small diner down the street that had the best pies. Nan would keep a lookout and I would climb out of the window where we worked and I would sneak down to the diner, grab slices of pie and sneak back in the window and we would have our dessert and laugh about sneaking out. That is a memory I will Alway cherish about Nan.
