Our dear mother and grandmother, Naomi Lee Johnson, 89, of Plainfield, went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2024. Naomi was born in April 7, 1935 to the late Bertha and Isaac Butcher in Plummer’s Landing, Ky and was raised with her five brothers and sisters who proceed her in death. Naomi was a cherished member of the entire family and passed down her love of music to all of us. She could light up the room with her infectious laugh and endearing personality. To know her was to love her. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 65 years, Gerald B Johnson. She is survived by her three children, Geraldine Ebarb (Jeff), Jerry Johnson, and Johnny Johnson (Patty). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey Ebarb (Stephanie), Joel Ebarb (Courtney), Justin Johnson (Kiersten), Josh Johnson (Kassi) and 2 great-grandchildren, Joey and Gabe Ebarb. Naomi and Gerald Johnson moved from Kentucky to Indiana in the 1960’s and resided in Gas City where they raised their 3 children. Naomi retired from RCA in Marion, Indiana with 25 years of service. In 2016, they made Plainfield, IN their home. Naomi will be dearly missed but her beautiful spirit will live on in each of our hearts. Services will be held at Hampton Gentry Funeral Home, 106 Shaw Street, Plainfield, IN on Thursday, August 1st at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, IN.
