Natalia C. Mascorro, 76, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, in her hometown.
Born on February 21, 1949, in San Antonio, Natalia was a proud graduate of Edgewood High School, Class of 1968. Throughout her life, she held several occupations, with notable service at Kelly Air Force Base, the United States Postal Service, and the Salvation Army. Her work ethic and dedication were evident in all she did.
Natalia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Abel G. Mascorro and Natividad C. Mascorro.
She is survived by her sons: Daniel Merlo Jr. and wife Cristina, Jesus Merlo and wife Sabina, Robert Merlo, and Gabriel Merlo. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to Nicole Merlo, Monica Salazar, Jeanette Merlo, Charles A. Merlo, Paulina Manzano, Robert Merlo Jr., Damen Merlo, Denine Merlo, Nico Merlo, Zayden Merlo, James Merlo and Adam Merlo. She was a great grandmother to Danny Uribe and Natalia Uribe.
Natalia had a passion for baking and was known for her talent as an expert cake decorator. She had a deep appreciation for antiques, especially blue glassware, which she loved to collect. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her grandchildren-watching movies at home, visiting the zoo, and bringing them along on her daily errands. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family will process from funeral home to Journey to the Cross Church at 9:30am for a Holy Mass at 10:00am. Followed by a procession to San Jose Burial Park. Graveside service to start at 11:30am
