Nathan Zachary Evick, 24, of Apex, NC, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 in his home.
Born in Chowan County on November 13, 1999, Nathan was the son of Christian Robert Evick of Edenton and Sabrina Faye Parrish of Apex. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Chuck Parrish, maternal grandmother, Janet Lassiter Knowles, paternal grandmother, Mona Christian Evick, and by paternal great-grandparents, Vernon and Eleanor Christian.
Employed with FreshPoint in Raleigh where he was very excited to start his new promotion as a Selector, he enjoyed exercising and was a regular at his local Planet Fitness. Nathan was enrolled in a program for two years, where he completed his education, learned several new skills, work ethics, and developed lasting friendships. His humor and presence were loved by all.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister, Emily Evick of Edenton; three brothers, Anthony and John Evick, both of Edenton and Chance Hilbert of Apex; maternal grandfather, Bill Knowles of Elizabeth City; maternal great-grandparents, Peggy and Henry Hurdle of Edenton; paternal grandfather, George Evick of Edenton; aunts and uncles, Judy and Ben McPherson, Bruce and Tameka Englehardt, Michael Mizelle, and Katelyn Evick; and cousins, Joshua Trueblood and Bailey McPherson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by Minister Brad Giffin. Friends may join the family in the funeral home the hour prior to the service on Saturday.
