Nathan Hattox Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home - Allen on Jan. 30, 2024.
Nathan Hattox passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 28 in Dallas, Texas. Nathan was born on August 11, 1995, in Newport Beach, California, to William F. Hattox and Jane (Tran) Hattox. He worked as a Lead Technical Architect within the IT field.
To have met Nathan, even for an instant, was lucky. To have known him for a lifetime would have been a gift. Nathan loved and lived life with his whole heart. He believed life was best lived full of play and overflowing with silliness. Music was his greatest passion, both listening and creating. His favorite band was Twenty-One Pilots, and had been ever since high school. Had he been able to, Nathan's first album would have been released this year. On a typical week day, you could find him dancing about the kitchen, experimenting with a new recipe, or rock climbing at the local gym. He would read almost every night and every morning, mostly nonfiction books about science and psychology. It was always about trying to better himself and get the most out of life. To say he will be missed is a shadow of how we all feel without him. There are no words to describe how much he meant to everyone he leaves behind.
Nathan is survived by his parents, Bill and Jane Hattox; life partner, Ren Barker; grandmothers, Lola Hattox and Maria Tran; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jerry Hattox and Cat Tran.
A remembrance gathering will be held from 2:00–4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033.
