It is with saddened hearts that the family of Nathan (Tony) Scott Hopkins announces his passing, on Thursday, July 10, 2025. A loving son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, and friend will be greatly missed by many.
Nathan's life journey ended at the age of 61.
He was born on September 9, 1963, to the late George Hopkins and the late Bernice (Sexton) Hopkins-Evans.
Nathan was a high school graduate of William Penn Sr. High School, Class of 1981; a Veteran of the United States Army where he received such awards as the Good Conduct Award, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Driver's & Mechanics Badge and Sharpshooter Badge. Nathan worked as an Engineer for Mercedes Benz, and he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Nathan leaves to mourn his loss but cherishes his memory his father Arthur Hawkins; daughters Shetay Hopkins and Sarah Kira Hopkins; sisters Norma Jean Whyte of Delaware, Phyllis A. Hawkins (James), Gail Allison (MC), Sara Jane Atwater (Leroy), Linda Hopkins, all of York and Maryann Wattley of Orlando, FL, Summer Hawkins Whitehead (Ronald) and Meridian Johnson; grandchildren Jaden Hopkins, Chad Jacobs, Jr. and Aleeah Samuel; and a host of nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents George and Bernice, he was preceded in death by his brothers Larry Hopkins, George Hopkins "Uncle Sonny", Curtis Hopkins, and Robert Simon.
