Nathan Jackson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 15, 2026.
Nathan "Nate" Gene Jackson, age 41, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 13, 2026.

Nathan was the son of Pauline Manypenny and Terrance Jackson. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, leeching, and ricing. Nathan loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his daughters, Tessa, Trinity, and Taylynn, and his little buddy, Ma'iingan Stevens. Nathan attended Waubun school and then worked with his grandpa Leonard "Honeycutt" Smith as a roofer. He worked many jobs but his most recent employment was working with Joe Zima.

Nathan always had the biggest smile and the best sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. He had a big heart and was generous, kind, loving, and caring. He would help anyone in need and would give you the shirt off his back. Nathan was taken away from us way too soon.

Nathan leaves behind his mother, Pauline Manypenny of White Earth, MN; daughter: Tessa Jackson, Trinity Jackson, and Taylynn Jackson, all of Mahnomen, MN; sisters: Cheyenne Manypenny, Mary Manypenny, Tara Manypenny, and Debra Jackson, all of White Earth; four nephews: Jarred, Preston, Kayden, and Dalton, all of White Earth; grandma, Mary Smith of White Earth; three uncles; and six aunts.

Nathan is preceded in death by his dad, Terrance Jackson; grandparents: Leonard "Honeycutt" Smith, and Frederick and Susan Jackson; two nieces, Hayley Rayne Smith and Rylee Ann Jackson; aunts, Debra Jackson and Sharon Jackson; and uncle, Calvin Jackson.

Memorial services will be held at the White Earth Community Center on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 1:00 pm. All night wake services will begin on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 5:00 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm and continue until the time of the funeral on Thursday.
