In Memoriam: Nate

I first met Nate in high school, and over the years, he became a familiar part of life after he married my dear friend Barkley. From then on, so many of my memories with Bark also included Nate and their boys, forming a tapestry of friendship, laughter, and the kind of moments that stay with you.

Though time and distance eventually separated us when they moved away, I was grateful for the chance to reconnect with Nate when they returned to Florida, just before I relocated to Arizona. Being far removed from day-to-day happenings in Florida, I hadn´t known he´d been sick, and it was with deep sadness that I learn of his passing.

My heart goes out to Pat, Barkley, and all of Nate´s family and friends-most especially to Austin. It's no easy thing to lose those we cherish. Prayers that cherished memories comfort you.

Rest peacefully, old friend. You are remembered with warmth and love.

You fought the good fight, brother. The stories we share from high school and after, are some of my best memories (The curve, The apartment, The convenience store) Im glad we reconnected over the last couple of years. Prayers for the family. Rest easy, friend.
