Donald John Gulla, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 22, 2025, at the age of 87, in Winter Haven, Florida. Born on October 24, 1937, in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, to the late Michael and Mary Gulla, Donald's life was a testament to his loving nature and his passion for family and golf.
Donald's legacy is lovingly carried on by his children, Kim Murphy, Kenneth (Karen) Ford, and Michael (Kelly) Gulla. His brothers, Michael and Thomas Gulla, predeceased him, but the memories they shared continue to bring smiles to those who knew them.
The joys of his life were multiplied by his adoring grandchildren, Brooklynne Murphy, Margaret Gulla, Nicholas Ford, Clara Ford, Katherine Ford, and Carmen Ford, and his great-grandchildren, Oakley Murphy, Brandon Pate, Adam Pate and Maria Hojewski. Each one brought him immense pride and happiness, and he treasured the time he spent with them.
Donald was a proud United States Navy veteran and a man of deep Christian faith. He dedicated 22 years to serving as a 1-4 Road Ranger, continuing in that role until the age of 85 in 2022. One of his greatest passions in life was golf. He spent over 20 years as a golf professional at Cleveland Heights, where he shared his love of the game and formed lasting friendships with fellow golfers.
As we bid farewell to Donald John Gulla, we celebrate a life well-lived. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends, and his legacy will continue to shine through the lives of those he loved. Donald's life story is one of love, service, and the simple pleasures that make life truly rich. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
