Billy Wells Obituary
He was born December 15, 1936 in Lincolnton, Georgia. He was one of six children born to Clarence W. Wells Sr. and Mattie (Martin) Wells.
Billy graduated from Lincoln County High School.
When he received Christ as Savior, he felt called to ministry and was the first student to enroll in Spurgeon Baptist Bible College where he graduated Summa cum laude while raising four children.
He ran a commercial cleaning company where he employed many Spurgeon students.
When he retired he realized his dream and became an ordained minister.
Billy is survived by his four children, Terry (Wells) Roth, Michael Wells, Jeffrey Wells, Jennifer (Wells) Arndt, one sister Betty(Wells) Morris, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great,great grandchildren. His wife Nancy, 2 brothers and 2 sisters predeceased him.
