Dr Kenneth Wireman passed away at the age of 94 on January 29, 2026. He passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones in
Lakeland, FloridaHe was born in Waldo, Kentucky on January 18, 1932. His parents were
Dora and Homer Wireman. He was raised in rural Michigan in a family of five sisters and one brother.
He was married to his sweetheart Betty Schomer on August 21, 1954 in Scottdale, Pennsylvania. They were married for 71 years.
He had an extensive education and graduated with a PhD from the University of Utah in 1971. He was a professor at Southeastern University for over 20 years. He was also a minister for 13 years.
He enjoyed extensive travel all over the world with his wife Betty.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Wireman of
Lakeland, Florida. His daughter Janice Albritton and her husband Alvo of
Lakeland, Florida. His granddaughter Skye Callan and her husband Paul of Oakland, California. His grandson Scott Callan of Salinas, California. His granddaughter Allanna Albritton of
Lakeland, Florida. His grandchildren Johnnie Midnight Callan, Braige Callan and Seven Callan of Oakland , California. His siblings Tural McDonald of Denver, Colorado. Pauline Edison of Pensacola, Florida. Norma Kons of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee. Dan Wireman and his wife Kathy of Pendacola, Florida and Pat Wheeler and her husband Bill of Battle Creek, Michigan.
He is predeceased by his parents Dora and Homer Wireman, his daughter Sandra Callan Chappuis and his sister Loretta England
Services will be held at Lakeland Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Friday, February 6. 2026. Public visitation will be from 11- 12 noon with the service and 12 noon.
