Nathan Newman, age 70, peacefully passed away on February 15th, 2026, due to an unexpected stroke. Nathan was born on January 21st, 1956, to the late Joseph Conway and Mary Helen Newman in Cheverly, Maryland. Nathan was the youngest of 10 siblings; gone but never forgotten Regina, Jaunita, Joseph, Ann, Melvin, Burnett, and still blessing the Newman family, Sherman, Goria, And Cherry.
Nathan was a fun and energetic man that wasted no time and never missed a get together, whether it was as a young man going to a cabaret or in his later years decorating the house for his grandchildren’s birthday parties. Nathan spent majority of his career in construction, he later retired due to an on-site accident. Nathan took up a new love for being a landscaper and handyman for his family, friends, and neighbors, more importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In 1977, Nathan married the love of his life and the glue that kept his family together, Rosa P. Newman. Nathan and Rosa went on to have three beautiful kids, Alicia, Chris, and Nathan Newman Jr. Nathan enjoyed being a father to his three children as he was a kid himself at heart. Nathan would find out years later that he loved being a grandpa even more to his six grandchildren Alexxis, Mercedes, Destiny, Nevelle, Anthony, and David. All spoiled rotten to the core. Whether it was talking on the phone to his grand kids or sneaking them some candy, he truly was the best papa a grandchild could have.
Nathan has a message for everyone, "I have left you only for a short time. When you close your eyes remember me, remember my stories, remember my smile, remember my laugh and know that I left you only for a short time. Until we meet again."
