Nathan Charles Deming Wallace, age 37, of
Middleton, Idaho, was born December 5, 1988, in
Arcata, California, and went home to be with God on March 11, 2026, in Boise, Idaho. Above all else in life, Nathan was a devoted father whose greatest joy was his two boys, Liam and Wyatt, whom he loved more than anything in this world. He was also a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend whose loving spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. Nathan was known for his kind heart, gentle nature, and deep love for life and the people around him.
Nathan is survived by his loving mother, Rosetta; his cherished sons, Liam and Wyatt, who were the greatest joy of his life; his siblings; many extended family members; and numerous friends who loved him dearly.
Nathan grew up with a curious spirit and a heart that naturally leaned toward kindness and connection. Even as a young boy, he had a gentle nature and an appreciation for the simple moments in life. As a child, Nathan was slow to walk and slow to talk, but when he finally found his way, he did so with determination and quiet strength. In his own way, he moved mountains.
Nathan also had an incredible natural intelligence and a stubborn streak that helped shape the person he became. Once he set his mind to something, he approached it with determination and persistence.
From an early age, Nathan showed the depth of his heart- he was the kind of boy who would give away his last cookie and take none for himself simply to make someone else smile. That generosity and compassion stayed with him throughout his life.
To know Nathan as his mother was to watch a gentle heart grow into a man who loved deeply and lived with kindness. I will especially miss our mother-son dates and the quiet moments we shared together.
Nathan believed the best memories in life were the ones shared with the people you love.
Nathan had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and felt most at peace near the water. The lake was one of his favorite places to be. During the summer months, you could often find him fishing, water skiing, or simply
enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. Being outdoors gave him a sense of freedom and happiness, and it was something he especially loved sharing with his boys.
Nathan also loved food and cooking. He especially enjoyed barbecuing and preparing meals for family and friends. Some of his happiest moments were the simple ones- grilling food, laughing, and spending time together, especially when his boys were by his side. For Nathan, cooking and sharing meals was another way he showed love to the people who meant the most to him.
Nathan also had a spirited and adventurous side that his boys will always remember. Some of the memories Liam and Wyatt will carry with them are the times spent riding motorcycles with their dad- The excitement of wheelies, burnouts, and drifting, and the laughter that always came with those moments. For Nathan, those adventures weren't just thrills; they were moments spent with his boys, creating memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.
By trade, Nathan worked as a flooring contractor and took great pride in the craftsmanship he brought to his work. He believed in working hard and doing things the right way, and those who knew him respected the dedication and pride he put into everything he built.
In the final chapter of his life, Nathan faced personal challenges that were not always easy to see from the outside. Those who knew and loved him understood that he was doing his best to find his way forward and rebuild his life. Through everything he faced, one thing never changed-his deep love for his sons, Liam and Wyatt.
In his final months, Nathan also found the love of God and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, finding faith and peace in his heart.
Those who loved Nathan never stopped believing in him and continued to hope for the brighter days he was working toward.
But above all else, Nathan was a father. His sons, Liam Wallace and Wyatt Wallace, were the center of his world and the greatest joy of his life. Everything he dreamed about for the future included them. He loved spending time with them, watching them grow, laughing with them, and creating memories that would stay with them for a lifetime.
Though Nathan's time here was far too short, his love, strength, and adventurous spirit will live on through the lives of his two boys, Liam and Wyatt.
A Message for Liam and Wyatt
Liam and Wyatt,
Your dad loved you more than anything in this world. Every dream he had, every laugh he shared, and every moment he cherished always came back to you. The memories you made together- fishing, riding, cooking, laughing, and exploring life side by side-are treasures that will stay with you forever.
Your dad was incredibly proud of you both. Being your father was the most important role he ever had, and he found happiness in the simple moments spent together and in watching you grow.
Remember the kindness in his heart, the adventurous spirit he carried, and the love he gave so freely. Those parts of him now live in you. Wherever life takes you, carry his strength, his courage, and his love with you.
Whenever you feel the warmth of the sun, hear laughter by the water, or find courage to chase your dreams, remember that your dad's love is still with you.
Whenever the water is calm and the sun shines across the lake, know that your dad's spirit is still there- watching over his boys and smiling at the adventures still ahead of you.
Celebration of Life
A celebration of Nathan's life will be held at a later date for a full weekend on a lake in honor of Nathan and one of his favorite pastimes- being outdoors and enjoying the water with family and friends. The time and location have not yet been determined.
Those wishing to attend or receive information about the services are asked to contact his mother for details. Those who knew Nathan know that he would never want his boys sitting quietly in a room for a traditional funeral. Instead, he would want them outside-laughing, riding, swimming, and celebrating life.
Guests are welcome to come for the day or spend the weekend. Bring tents, food, boats, paddleboards, motorcycles, and be ready for swimming, sharing stories, and spending time together by the lake.
Nathan appreciated life's simple joys-laughter, friendship, and time with the people he loved most.
Whenever the sun reflects across the water and the laughter of children echoes along the shore, Nathan's spirit will be remembered in the place he loved most-by the lake, with his boys.
Nathan will also be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his laughter, and the way he could turn an ordinary day into an adventure with his boys.
Words of Faith and Comfort
In moments of grief and remembrance, we find comfort in the promises of God.
Psalm 34:18"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Psalm 147:3"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
Matthew 11:28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Revelation 21:4"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain."
Final Tribute
His greatest title in life was simply this: Dad.
And to his mother, he will always be her beloved son, I will miss your beautiful smile.
Nathan's love, spirit, and adventurous heart will live on in the two boys who were his greatest pride- Liam and Wyatt.
Whenever the water is calm and the sun shines across the lake, remember that your dad's spirit is still there- watching over his boys and smiling at the adventures still ahead of you.
And in the hearts of Liam and Wyatt, he will always be Dad.
Until we meet again, my son, you will forever live in my heart.
