Barbara Jane Wallace, 80, of Temple, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, just two days shy of her 81st birthday. She was born on March 20, 1945, the daughter of the late Charles Raymond Stoughton and Geraldine Marie Brown Stoughton.
Barbara was a devoted woman of faith and family. She dedicated much of her life to the values that truly mattered to her: love for God, family, and friendship. Barbara was a cherished member of New Brooklyn Baptist Church in Temple. Barbara lovingly contributed to her community by preparing the church bulletins for many years. Her commitment to her faith was evident not only in her service at church but also in the way she lived her life—always guided by kindness and spiritual devotion.
Barbara was a warm and caring soul who enjoyed spending time with her family. She surrounded herself with her loved ones, and she created many treasured memories. Barbara was an animal lover, especially her dog Buddy, who brought her joy and happiness.
Beyond her family and faith, she enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and Hallmark movies. Barbara also took great pleasure in celebrating her families’ birthdays, by having a girls' night out. Those nights were filled with lots of laughter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn (Joe) Wallace and her son, Glenn E. Wallace; brothers, Ken Stoughton and John Stoughton.
She is survived by her three daughters, Tammie and Kenneth Arnold of Villa Rica; Sandra Starkie of Temple, and Christie Parris (Kade Davis) of Temple; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Barbara Stoughton of Temple, Steve Stoughton of Carrollton, and Charles Stoughton (Gail Brown) of Alabama; grandchildren, Jennifer and Scott Greenwalt, Beth Payton, Zach Jenkins, Joesph Wallace, Cassie and Jared Backus, David and Haley Matthews, Austin and Kirsten Wallace, Christian Parris, Haylie Parris, and Ryder Blaze Parris; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Clay Pawley officiating. Interment will follow at New Brooklyn Baptist Church Cemetery in Temple.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Zach Jenkins, Kade Davis, Christian Parris, Austin Wallace, Mikey Harrison, Joesph Wallace, David Matthews, and Scott Greenwalt.
