Nathaniel Finke Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brownlie & Maxwell Funeral Service & Crematory on Sep. 3, 2024.
Nathaniel J. Finke passed away at the age of 24 on August 29, 2024 at Tradition Hospital in Port Saint Lucie Florida.
Nathan was born on December 3, 1999 in Melbourne, Florida to parents Scott and Mary Finke. Since an early age, Nathan was obscured by the cloud of autism. Many treatments resulted in some gains but no breakthrough. The puzzle remained unsolved. Despite being non-verbal, Nathan expressed clear interests in many things including "swimming," gymnastics, and horseback riding.
His love of music was evident and his tastes ranged from classical to pop to alternative and 80s new wave. Other interests included watching Blue's Clues, Little Bear, Scooby Doo, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. Nathan attended Creel Elementary School, Sancta Familia Academy, and the Wabasso School.
In September 2021, Nathan transitioned into a group home in Port Saint Lucie as his mother (and primary caregiver) faced a futile battle with cancer. Nathan lived his life as an innocent child and touched the lives of many who helped care for him. Nathan is survived by his father (Scott) and sister (Katie).
Nathan's calling hours will be from 5 – 7 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne. His Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Holy Family Traditional Catholic Church, 3385 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne followed by burial at Florida Memorial Gardens.
Matthew 19:14
