Brother Nathaniel Harris Sr. was born on June 16, 1937 in Georgia to the late Deacon Willie Harris Sr and Sister Inez Mack Harris. He was the second oldest out of his thirteen siblings. His family later moved to Deland, Florida in the 1940's. He soon became a devoted member of St. Annis Primitive Baptist Church where he sang in the choir sharing his beautiful angelic voice and sang solos.
Nathaniel attended Euclid High School; where he liked baseball but excelled in football as a star athlete. He was a hard worker in numerous jobs he had from picking oranges, fern, car detailing and a concrete worker.
He was an immaculate dresser who loved suits. He was a GOD-fearing man of faith who often shared how good God had been to him. He loved and prayed faithfully for his family members and friends. He loved to write his own gospel songs and to share his beautiful angelic voice not only with his church family but his community as well. He loved to take daily walks around the track at Earl Brown Park.
Nathaniel Harris and late Josephine Harris had nine children: five sons: Nathaniel Harris Jr, Kevin Harris, Bruce Harris, Daryl Harris and Kenneth Harris. Four daughters: Maydell McGregor, Oretha Wilson, Angela Harris, and Adena Harris.
Brother Harris passed away on April 20, 2024. He was proceeded in death by his mother Inez Mack-Harris, father Willie Harris Sr. Brothers: Willie James Harris, Theodore Harris and Eugene Harris. Sisters: Leola Harris, Delores Harris-Nealy, Mary Lane and Rosa Mills. Son: Daryl Harris. Daughters: Angela Harris and Maydell McGregor.
Brother Harris is survived by his Sons: Nathaniel Harris Sr., Kevin Harris(Shalonda), Bruce Harris and Kenneth Harris(Kimberly); Daughters: Oretha Wilson(Gosnel) and Adena Harris. Br others: James Williams(Joyce), Willie Harris(Lashan), Preston Williams(Charlita) and Michael Harris. Sisters: Annie Ruth Reeves, Martha Coleman(Marvin) and Elaine Harris. Also, he is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends from work, church and in the community.
