Spilsbury Mortuary - St. GeorgeNavy Rein Aland was born April 2, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. She is the daughter of James Albert Aland and Allison Pace Aland and is survived by her parents and 2 siblings: brother, Stetson Smith and sister, Paisley Renee. She is also survived by her grandparents, James and Carolyn Pace of New Harmony, Utah; John and Marsha Aland of Santa Clara, Utah; 9 aunts and 9 uncles as well as 42 cousins. She is preceded in death by her cousin, Nora.
Navy came into James and Allie's family full speed ahead and ready for life, even with her Chiari 2 Malformation, she would not be slowed down. It was a sacred match, souls choosing family and each other for growth, for healing and for a love that stretches further than our understanding. In her short time here, she showed us a lifetime's worth of love. The kind of love that was pure and strong and unforgettable - how to slow down, hold each other tighter, and find "happy", even in the hard times. Her short life has made an impact that will last forever; we are reminded of what truly matters and are changed for the better. Quote from Navy: "Put down your phone and come play with me!"
Given her Chiari diagnosis and the complications from Influenza B, she passed away on February 22, 2026 at the Sunrise Children's Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.
An evening viewing will be held Friday, February 27 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah and a morning viewing Saturday, February 28 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. with the funeral service following right after starting at 11:00 a.m. held at the New Harmony Chapel, 12 South Main Street, New Harmony, Utah.
