Passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at age 78. Predeceased by his father and mother, Emilio and Anna Monti; brothers, Frank and Roberto Monti; brother-in-law, Sherman Merry. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sandra Monti; sons, Larry Fitzgerald, Edward (Karin) Fitzgerald-Monti of VA, Scott Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Kennedy (Brandon) Cavarello, Edward Fitzgerald, Jr,, Isabella (Travis) Atwell, Scott Fitzgerald, Jr. Olivia (Zach) Sharrow; great grandchildren, Derek, Lilee, Lainee, Henlee, Saylor and Haisley; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Josephine Monti, Ronald Merry, Charlotte Morak, Kathy Pratt, Patty (Randy) Dosztan, Dorothy Hendrickson; many nieces and nephews. Emilio was a founding member of the Italian American Community Center, and a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company
No prior calling. On Saturday, August 16, 2025, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. John Evangelist Church of Greece, 2400 West Ridge Road. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Rochester Regional Hospice Care, c/o Rochester Regional Health Foundation, 330 Monroe Avenue, Suite 400, Rochester, NY 14607 in his memory.
