Neal Martin Haywood arrived in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 9, 2025. The funeral service for Mr. Haywood is Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 4:00p.m. -8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. Haywood, 63 years old, is a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church, a retired grocery store manager and a member of the Muddy Duck Hunting Club. He was born in Huntingdon, TN on January 30, 1962, to Joseph Warren Haywood and Juanita Evelyn Laws McCord.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Cook Haywood, a son Caleb (Hannah) Haywood of McKenzie a daughter Mary Katlin Haywood of Greenville, SC, his mother Juanita McCord and step-mother Nancy Haywood both of Huntingdon, his siblings Danny (Gail) Haywood of Huntingdon, Susan (Joe) Parker of Cedar Grove, Patrick (Sherry) Haywood of Huntingdon, step-brother Richard Gilbert of McKenzie, seven grandchildren Autumn Haywood, Lina Haywood, Hayes Haywood, Lennon Haywood, Brooks Haywood, Coy Haywood and Noah Haywood
He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Haywood, stepfather Thomas McCord, sister Lea Etta Stokes and step-brother Alan Gilbert.
In Lieu of Flowers the family has asked for memorials to be made to the Hope Lodge, Nashville or the First Baptist Church Children Wing.
