Neata Manent

With loving thoughts we celebrate the life of Neata Manent. She was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and married her high school sweetheart Ritchie Manent. Together they moved to the "States" where he was offered a great job. They settled in Massachusetts where they raised two successful children, until they retired to Florida.
Neata was active in her church, being a member of the choir and even took a turn as the treasure of the church board. She was an accomplished seamstress, an avid quilter and knitter, as well as having the ability to make beautiful needlepoint scenes that looked like photos. She made friends wherever she went and continued those relationships with friends throughout her entire life.
Ritchie and Neata started golfing soon after moving to the "States". They belonged to golf leagues and traveled to play famous courses such as Pebble Beach and St. Andrews. Her love for golf after Ritchie's passing continued. She played 3 times a week in her 18 hole women's league in Sebring, Florida, until she moved to Lake Havasu City in 2016, where she continued golfing with her daughter in two different leagues.
She loved her role as wife, mother, grandma and "GG" (great grandma). She traveled to visit the grandchildren and their families every year.
She is survived by her son Todd (Elaine) Manent, daughter Lesley (Sharon) Manent, grandchildren Melissa (Jason) Sweeney, Jason (Kerri) Manent, and Nicholas (Megan) Manent and eight great grandchildren.
