Neil MacNichol Obituary
He served in both the United States Air Force and the United States Marine Corps before beginning a career in teleservices. Prior to retirement, he worked at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he was part of the crew responsible for managing the press box feed during Volunteer football game broadcasts.
Neil had a deep appreciation for nature-particularly canoeing-as well as history books and dogs, which remained constant companions throughout his life.
He is survived by his daughter, Shawnie Robbins; two granddaughters, Mindy and Danielle Crockett, who reside in Maine; and a stepdaughter, Tanya Knight. He was preceded in death by his son, Eric.
In retirement, Neil lived quietly and independently. His caregivers often remarked on his consistently kind demeanor during his later years.
Neil's final resting place is East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
