Neil Poplin Obituary
He was born on May 14, 1967 in Surry County to the late Grady Poplin and Doris Bauguess Poplin.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers Ronnie Poplin and Dennis Poplin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Peggy Poplin of the home; five sons Bradley (Anne) Poplin of Traphill, Michael (Pamela Kernstine) of Cooleemee, Casey (Molly Widener) Poplin of Hillsville, VA, Matthew Lyons of Elkin, and Joshua (Katie) McDonald of Forth Worth, TX; three brothers Loyd (Carol) Poplin of Elkin, Charles Poplin of Jonesville, and Dallas (Gisela) Poplin of State Road; nine grandchildren Carson, Caybree, Liam, Jasmine, Olivia, Harper, Avery, Skyler, and Lennon.
A funeral service will be held on Monday March 30, 2026 at 2pm at Benham Baptist Church with Pastor Marty Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday March 29, 2026 from 6pm-8pm at Johnson Funeral Home of Elkin.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Benham Baptist Church.
