It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Neil Rushing, who departed from this world on December 13, 2023. Born on January 23, 1997, in Savannah, TN, Neil was the beloved son of the late Christal Gale Patterson.
Neil's life was filled with a profound love for music. Whether he was playing his harmonica, flute, or bongos, or simply immersing himself in the melodies around him, Neil found solace and joy through the power of music. He had a particular fondness for lively and humorous sounds that could brighten any room. He delighted in watching cowboy movies with their galloping horses and cherished moments when he was read to.
Throughout his journey, Neil experienced a life brimming with happiness and an unconditional love from those around him. His Nana held a special place in his heart and provided him with unwavering support and companionship. She was one of many individuals who brought light and joy into Neil's life.
Neil leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of his devoted and loving grandparents, Phyllis and Pete Peterson of Savannah, TN. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Hannah Dodd of Knoxville, TN; his uncle, Anthony Patterson of Bethel Springs, TN; his aunt Kindra Patterson of Bethel Springs, TN; and the wonderful staff at Buffalo River Services in Waynesboro, TN who cared for him like family.
Neil was preceded in death by his grandfather Lanny Patterson.
Memorials may be made to McNairy County Carl Perkins Center.
