Neil Simon Carrillo Javier

Neil Simon Carrillo Javier, age 34, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. He was born May 23, 1991, in Juneau, Alaska to Simon and Maria (Carrillo) Javier. He was an immensely caring person and could also make you laugh or smile even in the darkest of days. He loved being on the water and mostly worked as a deckhand on several fishing vessels across Alaska, where he also shared his passion for cooking for the crew. Neil had a strong intuition and the ability to reach people deeply and positively.

Neil's life will be remembered and cherished in the life of his son that he adored, McKoi Javier of Yakutat, AK; his parents, Simon Javier and Maria Carrillo Javier of Juneau, AK; his brother, Simon Crespo Javier, Jr. of Capiz, Philippines; his sister, Sabrina Javier (Brady) of Juneau, AK; brother, Hans Javier of Juneau, AK; and all his loving family and friends.

A memorial service to honor the life of Neil will be held at the National Shrine of St. Therese, 21425 Glacier Highway, Juneau, Alaska at 3:00PM on Friday, March 6, 2026, where his ashes will lay to rest at the Columbarium.
