Neil Slaght Obituary
Neil was born August 25, 1938 in Pontiac, MI to Violet and Durwood Slaght. Neil met Mary Navari on a blind date. They married on July 11, 1959 and were married for 64 wonderful years. Neil and Mary lived in Royal Oak then later settled in Sterling Heights. They entertained family and friends for many years at their cottage in Lexington, Michigan creating fond and joyous memories.
Most important to Neil was his family. Kimberly was born in 1974.
He was the grandfather to Kimberly and George's three children- Katherine, Abigail and Joseph. He adored his grandchildren and spoke of them often to friends, family and strangers.
Memorial Service Saturday June 29, 12PM at AJ Desmond and Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd., (between Maple and Big Beaver), Troy, MI 48084. Visitation at the funeral home begins at 10AM.
Ceremony immediately following memorial service will be held at White Chapel Cemetery 621 West Long Lake Road at Crooks Road (Just West of I-75) in Troy, Michigan 48098. Private internment following cemetery service.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Tributes to American Cancer Society ACS.
