Nelda "Kay" Geimer, 86, of Marion, and formerly of Fairmount, died Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Muncie.
Kay was born in Fairmount, Indiana on November 21, 1938, daughter of the late Joseph E. and Freda Annabelle (Wilson) Payne. Kay graduated from Fairmount High School in 1956 and attended Marion Business College. She married the love of her life, Robert F. "Bob" Geimer on November 25, 1965. Bob preceded her in death on December 8, 2023. Kay was a homemaker and attended Fairmount Friends Church.
Kay is survived by her sister, Veta Vaughn of Fairmount; nieces, Vicki Snyder, Fairmount, Linda Vaughn, Marion, and Kathy Vaughn, Phoenix, AZ; nephews, Dale Snyder, and Jason Snyder; niece, Crystal Flander; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Freda, husband, Bob and a nephew, Larry Vaughn, and sister, Sue Payne.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. A graveside service for Kay will be held at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11 AM with Pastor Andrew Heald officiating.
