Nelda Gregg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wright's Funeral Parlor - Kerrville on Jan. 21, 2026.
Nelda R. Gregg, age 78, of Bandera, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026. She was born on January 24, 1947, in Bell County, Texas, and was raised there by her loving parents, Fannie and Stanley Stark.

Nelda grew up in Bell County, where the strong family values that shaped her life were instilled early on. At the age of 25, she moved to San Antonio, Texas, where she built a life centered around love, family, and hard work. On December 20, 1973, she married Gary Gregg, and together they raised three children.

For much of her children's younger years, Nelda devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mother, a role she cherished deeply. Later in life, she worked as a receptionist at Mission Park Funeral Home in San Antonio and also at H-E-B on Military Drive. In the early 2000s, Nelda moved to Bandera, Texas, where she spent the remainder of her life and made many lasting memories.

Nelda enjoyed fishing and hunting in her younger years and had a lifelong love of bowling. She and Gary shared many special times traveling together while participating in bowling leagues. Above all else, Nelda treasured her family. She was deeply family-oriented and maintained close relationships not only with her immediate family but also with her extended family, creating a bond that was truly close-knit and enduring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie and Stanley Stark; her siblings, George Wilson, Brenda Easter, Anita Kanne, and Woody Wilson; and her daughter, Jessica Netherton.

Nelda is survived by her children, James Hamill (Patti) and Johnny Hamill (Robin); her brother, Wesley Wilson; and her grandchildren, Joshua Hamill (Laura), Alyssa Moore (Keaton), Courtney Netherton (Cody), Garrett Reeves, Jaclyn Hamill, Ashleigh Hamill, Jared Hamill, Jace Reeves (Sydney), and Jena Agueros (Derrick).

Nelda will be remembered for her loving heart, devotion to family, and the many memories she shared with those who loved her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the strong family bonds she held so dear.
