Nelda Kathryn Smith

Mrs. Nelda Kathryn Smith age 75 of Thomaston Ga, died Thursday January 1, 2026 at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith was born on May 27, 1950 in Thomaston Ga, to the late Millwood Ellington and the late Gladys Teal Ellington. She was employed with Thomaston Mills for many years and later worked for Wal-Mart. Mrs. Smith was a long time member of Barnesville Revival Center. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband Jerry D. Williamson, daughter Teresa Kathryn Nicholson, brothers Coleman Ellington, Cary Ellington, grand daughter Angel Brittany Boyt. She had a profound faith in God and gave her life to the Lord and his service. She had many friends and helped anyone she could if she was able. She is very loved and will be sorely missed.

Survivors include her husband Vernon Steve Smith, daughters Angela Gladys Walker, Sherri (Steve) Williamson, Tammy Tinsley, sons Jerry Neal (Catherine) Williamson, John Brandon (Amanda) Smith, brothers McKenzie (Glenda) Ellington, Edward Ray (Betty) Ellington, Roger (Cindy) Ellington, sister Carol Rush, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.

The family will hold a memorial service on Sunday January 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from Barnesville Revival Center.
