Ronald Thomas Gresham

Funeral services for Ronald Thomas Gresham, age 92 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow in the Gresham Family Farm Cemetery. Rev. Keith Powell will officiate.

Mr. Gresham was born August 9, 1933, in Thomaston, Georgia. He was the son of the late George Otis Gresham and Ellie Elizabeth Tucker Gresham. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmy E. Gresham, Richard L. Gresham, Mary J. Rakestraw, and Gary Wayne Gresham, Sr. He retired from the United States Navy where he served in the Korean War, Vietnam War, and Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a retired Physician Assistant at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. Mr. Gresham passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Gresham is survived by Joan L. Gresham of Wrightsville; 4 sons, Ronald Bruce (Donna) Gresham of NC, Jeffrey Gresham of Richmond Hill, Steve Gresham of Wrightsville, and Scott Gresham of Wrightsville; a brother, George M. Gresham of Decatur; a sister, Phyliss Sloan of Wrightsville; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the funeral home.
