Nelda Joyce Warren

Nelda Joyce Warren, 85, departed from this life on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Nelda was born August 31, 1938, in Goatneck, Texas to the late John "Jay" Hensen and Minnie (Dennis) Hensen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rodney Warren, and her sister, Dorothy Leonard.
Nelda is survived by her daughter, Dana (Warren) Cargill, and son-in-law, Bobby Cargill of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Sonia Smith; brother, Jimmy Hensen; niece and husband, Janie Scholefield (Adrian); niece, De'Ana Hogan; sister-in-law, Marsha Warren; many other loving family members; and her special feline companions, Boots and Jazzy.
Nelda will be remembered for her angelic presence and outgoing nature. She was a woman of strong, Christian faith, and found solace and wisdom in reading scripture. Nelda was a sweetheart, who loved her family; she expressed her love often by giving and cooking. Nelda enjoyed collecting cookbooks and reading recipes. In addition to her many talents, she was a gifted seamstress and floral designer.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Bethel Cemetery, in Weatherford, Texas.
The visitation is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm St, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
