Benny Chester Bennett

Benny Chester Bennett, 78, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at his home in Jacksboro, Texas. Benny was born on November 15, 1947, in Weatherford, Texas, to Rochester and Lila Violetta (Pirtle) Bennett.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro, Texas.

Benny married Polly Kay Auld on June 4, 1971, in Jacksboro, Texas. Together they raised their three daughters, Kristi, Kim, and Julie. Benny proudly served in the United States Army and worked for many years as a meter technician.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Leah Faye Brock; and his brother, Floyd Richards.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Polly Bennett; his daughters, Kristi Daws and husband Ken, Kim Pippin and husband David, and Julie Taylor and husband James; his grandchildren, Dalton Bennett, Tyler Pippin, Autumn Brocher, Lauren Trainer, Jaxon Trainer, Ben Daws, and Neva Daws; his sister, Judy Ballard; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
