Nelle Elaine Wical

Nelle Elaine Wical, age 76, of Spring Valley, passed away on April 24, 2024. She was born in Xenia, Ohio, on August 21, 1947, the daughter of the late John and Beryl Ankeney.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, John C. Ankeney, Jr., Sam Ankeney and James "Jim" Ankeney.

Nelle is survived by her beloved husband of over 55 years, Gary W. Wical; her sons, Doug (Beth) Wical and David (Carrie Grigsby) Wical; grandchildren, Brittany (Spencer) Wright, Sara (Matt Schubert) Wical, Emily Wical, Zachary Wical and Konnor Wical; great grandchildren, Cora, Amelia Wright and "soon-to-be", Olivia; brother, Rick (Chris) Ankeney; and many other loving family and friends.

Nelle was a Registered Nurse for 37 years, working with a number of different hospitals over her career. She was a member of Global Methodist Church in Spring Valley for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers and adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nelle had a heart of gold and was always there for those she loved. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. A Celebration of Nelle's Life will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 10:00am, at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Middle Run Cemetery, Bellbrook.
