Nellie A. Parrish, age 89 of Kuttawa, died at 10:53 pm, Thursday, December 8, 2016 at her home in Kuttawa. She was a member of Suwanee Furnace Baptist Church and was preceded in death in 1994 by her husband Pete Parrish, one brother Frank A. Armstrong and one sister Josephine Knoth. Her parents were William Frank and Bertha Rowena Hayden Armstrong. Survivors include one daughter Susie Parrish of Kuttawa, one son Ted Parrish and wife Sheila of Jacksonville, FL, one granddaughter Sally King and husband Craig, one grandson Ross Buckler Parrish of Jacksonville, FL, three great grandchildren Kerowyn Parrish of Jacksonville, FL, Hunter Parrish of Jacksonville, FL, Tiffany McFadden and husband Andy of Paducah and one great great grandchild Rylee McFadden of Paducah. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December11, 2016 at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville with Rev. Don Short officiating and burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm Sunday at Dunn's.

Susie, Ted, Sheila, Sally Jo and family,

We are so sorry for your loss but we know she is in heaven without pain.

They are all cranking up the piano and the Suwaneeaires reunion is going strong! Aunt Nellie was like a second Mother to me! We will miss her!

There was never a more devoted and graceful person teaching, singing or playing the piano at Suwannee Furnance Baptist Church! She walked a Christian life.
