Nellie P. Wall

WALL, Nellie P., 80, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Eula Mae Jones Phelps. Mrs. Wall was the first school crossing guard at the Boulevard and Westover Avenue in Colonial Heights, and a legislative aide for Delegate George Jones for over 15 years. She was a past state president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and a former president of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2239. Mrs. Wall is survived by her husband, William A. Wall; a son, William O. Wall and wife, Linda, of Colonial Heights; two grandchildren, Christopher R. Wall and Dana M. Etter and husband, Steve; two great-grandchildren, Danielle Moody Scott and husband, Kevin, and Dustin R. Etter; also numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend James Pfost officiating. Interment will be private.
