Nelson John Legowski, Sr.

Greenville-Nelson John Legowski, Sr, 80, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Nelson was born in Tuledo, Ohio on January 24, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Nelson Legowski, II; and sister, Carol Legowski Foley.
Spending time with his family was the ultimate joy for Nelson. He took pride in taking care of his wife, the love of his life for thirty-seven years.
If there was a football game going on, you could be certain Nelson was tuned in. For him, it didn't matter the teams playing or who was winning. He was simply a fan of the game.
With a mechanical mind, Nelson could fix anything broken on a car motor. From restoring his 1949 Ford to taking care of his big rig, he was able to do it all. He had a love for all things with a motor, including monster trucks and especially his beloved Harley's.
A service of love and remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
Nelson is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Legowski; children, Rich Wollard, Robin Legowski, Josif Legowski and wife, Melissa, and Brandalyn Lancaster; grandchildren, Christian Legowski, and Josif Legowski, IV; and siblings, Sheryl Clark Krotzer, Linda Clark Gordon, Judy Clark, Gary Clark, and Mark Clark.
