Nelson Reeder

Nelson I. Reeder, 83, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Doey's House in Hagerstown. Born March 10, 1938 in Mercersburg, he was the son of the late Chester Hoover and Margaret Zeger Hoover.
Nelson was employed as a mechanic at Wishard's Garage in Zullinger until his retirement in 2014. He was a member of the Greencastle Lion's Club. He enjoyed camping at Tuckahoe Acres, DE, boating, fishing, crabbing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife and love of his life for 66 years, Alma June Myers Reeder; four children; Rick Reeder and wife Cindi, Ronald "Butch" Reeder and wife Kimberly, Brenda Sites and husband Robert, and Wanda Crunkleton and husband Gregory, all of Greencastle; seven grandchildren, Scott, April, Mindy, Natasha, Joshua, Jenna and Tabitha; eleven great grandchildren and one on the way; one sister, Lillie Cordell; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Nelson was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Reeder; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at zimmermanfh.com.
