Mr. Strickland was born April 4, 1958 in Commerce, Georgia to the late Nelson Rudolph Strickland, Sr. and Curtis Marie Black Strickland. He was a truck driver for Koch Foods. In addition to his own children, Rudy was a father to many and a friend to everyone who knew him. Rudy had the biggest heart and if he loved you, he loved you hard! He was as tough as they come and yet so humble. Rudy was a free spirit with a passion for turning wrenches, and had a huge impact on anyone who shared the same. He will forever be in our hearts and always o/n our minds. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters-in-law, Gloria Patterson and Barbara Sosebee and his father & mother-in-law, E.S. & Nellie Patterson.
Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nancy Patterson Strickland of Dahlonega, his children, Zoe Strickland and Dylan Strickland, both of Dahlonega, his brother, Terry Strickland of Lula, numerous nieces and nephews, his sister & brother-in-law, Judy & Scott Boyd of Lewisburg, Tennessee, brother-in-law, Randall Patterson of Dawsonville, his sister-in-law, Sharon Davidson of Cleveland and his uncle & aunt, John & Edna Drennon of Clermont.
