Nena Elliott Obituary

Nena was a graduate of Poca High School and a former member of Elizabeth Baptist Church in Bancroft. She spent many years working in retail, including with K-Mart in Teays Valley and the Nitro Wal-Mart, where she made many friendships along the way. A longtime resident of the Myers Avenue Apartments, Nena enjoyed the simple joys of life-especially time spent with her family and the comforting companionship of her beloved dog.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Midge Phalen; brother, Merle Franklin Phalen; and sisters, Carolyn McGrew, Marilyn Saunders, and Ethel Moses.
Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Tena Dye, Bertha Phalen, and Larry Phalen; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember her with love.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.
