Nette Eva Anderson, 85, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Avera Sister James Care Center in Yankton, SD. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 31, 2025, at United Parish of Elkton in
Elkton, SD. A Visitation will be held the night prior from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a 5:45 pm Prayer Service on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the Eidsness Funeral Chapel in Elkton, burial will be at the Elkton City Cemetery in Elkton.
Nette Eva Anderson was born on November 30, 1939, in Pipestone, MN, the daughter of Clarence and Eva (Bern) Wood. Nette grew up in Flandreau, SD where she received her education. She was united in marriage to Marlen Anderson on June 14, 1955 in Slayton, MN. After their marriage she was employed at various places including cooking at the café in Elkton, working several years at Mid Tech before working at KT Embroidery. Nette then moved on to working at the drive-in in Elkton as a baker and continued on to Eaton Dakota in Flandreau before she started cooking at the Brookings Hospital and Brookview Manor until she retired in 2004. Marlen died on March 9, 1999. Nette continued to make Elkton her home.
She was an active member of United Parish in Elkton. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and dancing.

Elkton, SD, Julie (Dean) Dendinger of Hartington, NE, Timothy (Karla) Anderson of
Elkton, SD, Tony (Susan) Anderson of Christiansburg, VA, Reva (Tony) Masiero of Casper, WY, Ronald (Denise) Anderson of Phoenix, AZ, Kristi (Lance) Palecek of Yankton, SD; 44 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one sister Zoe (Al) Looper of Southgate, CA; and one sister-in-law Sandra Anderson.
Nette was preceded in death by her husband (Marlen), parents, infant son (Steven Anderson), granddaughter (Bethany Anderson), great-grandsons (Jaston Dawson and Michael Allen), one brother (Clifford), one sister (Lovey), son-in-law (James Johnson) and special friend and dance partner (David Fruechte).
