NETTIE B. CURTIS

Nettie Beatrice Curtis entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the age of 80. She was a native Carpenter, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Nettie was a graduate of Lincoln High School. “Nellie B” as she was affectionately called by family and friends was employed as a nurse assistant. Beloved mother of Ernest Curis, Denise C. (Eric, Sr.) Harris, Nicole Curtis, and Gary Curtis all of Marrero, LA. Grandmother of Sandra Coleman, Shawn Clofer, Ashley Curtis of N.C., Crystal Harris, Eric (Marsha) Harris, Jr. of Houston, TX, and Erica Harris of Queens, N.Y. Daughter of the late Chaptman, Sr. and Mamie Wilson Curtis. Sister of Mamie C. Harris, Julia L. Dabney, and the late Chaptman Curtis, Jr. Aunt of the late Stanley Dabney. Sister in law of the late R.J. Harris, and Willie Fred Dabney, Sr., also survived by 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church #3 and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Fred Porter officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
