Nettie Goffinet Obituary
She was a newspaper carrier for The Evansville Courier and Press for over 20 years. Nettie loved all animals, especially giraffes. She enjoyed thrift shopping and watching QVC.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Jessi Kennedy, Talia (Goffinet) Tremont and Justin Goffinet; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Goffinet, Samuel Goffinet and Boston Green; sister, Ida Yurik; and nieces, Misti Torres and Samantha Griffin.
In addition to her parents, Nettie was preceded in death by her sons, Daniel Goffinet, II and Steven Goffinet; brother, Charles Corbitt; and cousin, Louise Stanley.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Ave., Evansville. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Garrett officiating.
Burial will be at Locust Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF) at giraffeconservation.org.
