Nettie Lillian Sullivent, affectionately known as "Oma," of Oklahoma City, passed from this life on December 29, 2024, at the age of 104. She was born on June 22, 1920, in Minneapolis, Kansas to Edward A. "EA" & Lillian V. (Gatewood) Prosser.
Nettie lost her husband at a young age and never remarried. She was a single mom and a wonderful homemaker working extremely hard to raise her family. Nettie worked as the office manager for Kerr McGee, until she retired.
She loved gardening and crocheting, and she enjoyed shopping. Nettie enjoyed listening to country & western music as well as James Taylor. Her favorite color was purple. She enjoyed cooking and some of her specialties were making oatmeal raisin cookies and stuffed pork. She loved carrot cake and eating her son, Ronnie's Chili.
Nettie was a kind and caring woman who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Sullivent & wife, Danna; daughter-in-law, Brenda Sullivent; 4 grandchildren, Sabrina Roberts, Jessica Oester, Ryon Sullivent, and Derrick Sullivent; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Nettie is preceded in death by her parents, EA & Lillian Prosser; son, Robert Sullivent; and her husband, Lawrence Sullivent.
Visitation for will be held from 2:00pm-8:00pm, on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, January 3, 2025, at Heritage Burial Park, located at 4000 SW 119th Street, in Oklahoma City. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
