Neva Nell Hicks

Mrs. Neva Nell Hicks, age 89 of Dover, TN passed away April 9, 2022 at AHC of Clarksville, TN. She was born August 3, 1932, Stewart County, TN, the daughter of the late Louie Elbert and Pearl Bogard Wallace. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and loyal friend to many. She was a homemaker and enjoyed the company of her loving fur babies. She was a school bus driver for Stewart County School District until retirement. She was a member of Faith Chapel General Baptist Church in Mitchell, IL and faithfully attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Indian Mound, TN.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Walton Hicks of Dover, TN, son, James (Jimmy) Hicks of Staunton, IL, and step-father Ewin Wallace, brother, Malcolm Wallace, Charles Wallace of Dover, TN, sisters, Laverne Plebanek of Granite City, IL, Dorothy Ann Hancock of Woodlawn, TN
She is survived by her loving and devoted son, Larry (Kathy) Hicks of Troy, IL,
3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren all of Granite City, IL.
Visitation will be April 14, 2022 at Anglin Funeral Home 11:00 am until 12:30 pm. Graveside service will be held at Heflin Cemetery at 1:00 pm, April 14, 2022 with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
