Nevin Snader

Nevin R. Snader, 93, of Lititz, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Brethren Village, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Lancaster to the late J. Walter and Esther (Reitz) Snader and was the husband of Marian (Newcomer) Snader with whom he shared 69 years of marriage.
Nevin was a member of the Lancaster Church of the Brethren. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Elizabethtown College earning a bachelor's degree. During his working years, he managed several shoe factories related to Miller Hess in Akron. Following their closing, he held several accounting positions until his retirement. Nevin loved riding motorcycles, traveling and fishing. He especially loved his granddogs and great-granddogs.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Paula, wife of Jeff Hosler of Ephrata; a son, John, husband of Ellen (Gottlieb) Snader of Lititz; two granddaughters, Morgan Hosler, fiancé of Matthew Spohn, Chelsea Wilson and a brother, Bruce Snader of Akron.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Christine Ann.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 1 to 2 pm, at Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, followed by his funeral service at 2 pm, with Chaplain Dana Statler officiating. Interment will be private with military honors accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard.
