I remember Mr. Renzullo from Lincoln School, I want to say in the 1960's. I attended Lincoln School from kindergarten to eighth grade, except for third grade. A wonderful mentor and kind man who was loved by many. He helped soften students view of a person who held a higher position, having grown up with a very stern Principal, Mr. Powers, in the early years of my peers education. My sympathies to his family.

I remember Mr. Renzullo from my time as a student at Lincoln School in the 1970s. I remember his gentle nature, his always smiling face, and his genuine affection for his students and colleagues. I´m happy to read that my memories of Mr. Renzullo are accurate and that he left a similar impression on others after his tenure at Lincoln.

I am deeply saddened to see this. Nevio was my mentor and very good friend. I remember when he interviewed for the vice principal position at Gray Avenue. The entire teaching staff was present for the three candidates. Nevio stood head and shoulders above everyone and I was very pleased when he took the position. Many years later, he asked me if I would consider taking the position of Teacher in Charge of Student Services. I would still teach two periods but the rest of the time, I would assist Nevio with discipline and student activities, including student council. I truly enjoyed those seven years because I so admired how Nevio dealt with difficult situations. He had a truly great heart for students and it showed in how he talked to them and to parents. When I got into administration, I would hear myself echoing many of the comments that Nevio would say. He truly was my inspiration and, to this day, I still remember and find myself still using much of what he taught me.
My heart goes out to Peggy, his adored wife, and to Julie and Nevio Jr. and their families. He was a treasure and will be greatly missed but very much cherished. We have lost a truly wonderful man.

Nevio was truly a gentle man who was always a continual source of pride, joy and inspiration. He impacted so many students at Gray Avenue as well as faculty members - definitely me. His entire family are jewels and I'm so grateful that I was so blessed to have all of them in my life. May the memories, friends, family and your faith sustain you in this season.
