Opelousas- A memorial Mass will be held for Neysa Evelyn Savoy the former Neysa Evelyn Chautin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville. Burial will follow inn the St. Leo the Great Mausoleum in Leonville. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel from 7:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. A rosary will be prayed at 9:45 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home chapel.
Neysa, a beloved member of the Arnaudville community, passed away peacefully at her home on February 1, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on October 16, 1964, in Arnaudville, Louisiana, Neysa was known for her warm and loving spirit that touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know her.
Throughout her career, Neysa dedicated herself to the sales and bookkeeping sector of the glass industry, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and dedication. Her work was a testament to her strong character and commitment to excellence.
Neysa had a zest for life that was reflected in her passions. She had a profound love for music and dancing, often bringing joy to family gatherings and events with her infectious energy. Her interests were not just hobbies; they were a vital part of her engaging personality, helping her create cherished memories with those she loved.
Her family meant everything to her and served as the foundation of her proudest accomplishments. Neysa is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Robert Savoy of Arnaudville, with whom she shared a loving partnership that was an inspiring example of enduring love. She is also survived by her son, Bryant Savoy of Arnaudville, and her daughter, Lauren Savoy Hardy, along with her husband Josh, of Port Barre. The light of Neysa's life was her granddaughter, Annalyse Hardy, whose laughter and joy brought indescribable happiness to Neysa's heart.
In addition to her immediate family, Neysa is survived by her brother, Dale Chautin and his wife Delaine of Leonville. Together, they carry on her memory and the values she instilled in them.
Neysa was preceded in death by her parents, John Lee and Shirley Chautin, and her brother, David Chautin. While their absence is deeply felt, the love they shared was a guiding light throughout her life.
Neysa Evelyn Savoy's legacy will endure in the hearts of her family and friends, whose lives she enriched with her love and compassion. She will be remembered as a very loving person whose spirit will forever dance among the memories she created and the people she cherished.
