Nicholas Ryan Barton

Nicholas Ryan Barton, 38, entered into rest on Friday, January 23, 2026.

The family will greet friends Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 5 until 7 at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, South Carolina 29829. A Celebration of Life service will be at 1 o'clock Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Burnettown with Brandon Barton and Corey Barton officiating and special speaker, Brad Barton. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Godwin, Rusty McGee, Brandon Padilla, Derrick Coleman, Russell Smith, and Luis Gallardo. Honorary pallbearer will be Lewis Eubanks.

Left to cherish Nick's memory is his son, Lain Ryan Le Barton; his parents, Harry Leon "Pater" Barton and Cynthia "Cindy" Franklin Barton; his brother and sister-in-law, Shawn and Jennifer Barton and his nephews, Braylon Barton and Cameron Barton.

Nick was born in Augusta, Georgia. Prior to his health declining, he had been a supervisor with Augusta Industrial. Being a heavy equipment operator, he had worked with South Carolina Forestry Commision. Nick was a dedicated fireman with the Midland Valley Fire Department.

His favorite times were spent with his son, Lain. Whether they were going to the movies, tubing in the river, zip lining or eating all you can eat crab legs, time with his son was the best.
