Arlyce Barton Obituary
Arlyce Faye was born on August 7, 1940, to John J. and Velma (Campbell) Hardy in Brookings, SD. Arlyce married Ronald Joe Barton, he preceded her in death on February 17, 1988. Then she married Roscoe Bankus, he preceded her in death on May 5, 2001. Then she married Bill Dean Barton, he preceded her in death September 25, 2013.
Arlyce enjoyed putting puzzles together, reading a good western romance book, and listening to Bob Seger. She loved spending time at Thomas Hill, Bill and Arlyce would go around visiting with all their friends and neighbors. Arlyce was a very kind person but will be most remembered by her bubbly spirt and great sense of humor.
Arlyce is survived by her three sons, Rick Barton and wife Kathy of Jefferson City, MO; Randy Barton and wife Gail of Belton, MO; and Jesse Barton and wife Kelly of Platte City, MO; five grandchildren, Matthew Barton, Ian Barton, Kelly Barton, Joe Barton, and Jeremy Barton; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Hardy; and several other niece, nephews, and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Velma Hardy, three husbands, three sisters, and one great-grandbaby.
Visitation to Celebrate the Life of Arlyce Barton will be held at the Rhodes Funeral Home in Brookfield, MO; on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 1:00 pm. to 3:00 pm. with family receiving friends at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Care Network of Platte City, activity fund and can be left at or mailed to Rhodes Funeral Home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, MO. 64628.
